Who We Are
The Rhode Island Black Business Association (RIBBA) is dedicated to enhancing the growth and economic empowerment of black-owned businesses, entrepreneurs, and professionals. Its inception began during the fall of 2010 when approximately fifty community leaders came together as an interest group to look at the issues affecting the black urban business community. After strategic brainstorming sessions and random samplings taken from individuals and businesses, the urgent need to foster black-owned urban small business became apparent and RIBBA was established!
The Rhode Island Business Development Institute is a 501 (c) (3) charitable arm of RIBBA which provides financial support for RIBBA’s initiatives and programs by the way of grants and fundraising.
